Layla A. Souers (Communications Chair)

Layla has been with the University since 2017. She holds a master’s degree in mass communications and also studied jazz guitar in college. Before working as a marketer, she was a professional musician for over 20 years—teaching and playing all over the Midwest. Outside of work, Layla enjoys spending time with her fiancé Nick, chocolate lab Barley, and tuxedo cat Bash. Her other interests include trivia, creative writing, yoga, gardening, painting, origami, and calligraphy.
