The Danforth Staff Council’s Fall Forum took place on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Emerson Auditorium, within Knight Hall. A reception followed the Forum from 4 to 5 p.m. Staff had the opportunity to attend in person or virtually via Zoom.
Overview
Human Resources representatives Justin Brasel, John Henderson, and Michelle Duke discussed submitted questions from staff that relate to employee benefits. Scot R. Bemis, vice chancellor for Human Resources and Institutional Equity was present via Zoom from 3 to 4 p.m. to answer broader HR-related questions.
Chalana Scales-Ferguson, associate vice chancellor of Institutional Equity, addressed submitted questions related to the Office of Institutional Equity’s Focus Pillars, which are Education and Engagement, Compliance and Policies, as well as Investigations and Conflict Resolution. During the Forum, we prioritized addressing submitted questions that related to benefits and the Office of Institutional Equity to maximize the time with our panelists.
At the same time, we accepted submitted questions on any topic. The DSC will advocate for responses from administration to all submitted questions and will publish those responses on the DSC website when they are available.
